This is the story of a girl from the Southwest and a guy from the Northeast. Although they are from two completely opposite parts of the country, their paths joined together through their connections at the Arizona Biltmore hotel.

Ten years ago, Erika moved to Arizona and began her career at the iconic Arizona Biltmore Waldorf Astoria Resort...just as David was leaving the property for an opportunity with Hilton's corporate office. They met through mutual friends at the hotel and for seven years they bonded over sports, family, politics, and their dogs. Erika and David counted each other as close friends…but they never wanted to admit that they knew each other was the one. Finally in the summer of 2022, they became an official couple!

Since then, they have meshed families, households and dreams. They enjoy spending time with their immediate families, who all live close by in Arizona. Weekends revolve around the NASCAR Schedule, and they love to travel when they get the chance. But let's be honest, it’s actually all about the dogs! Erika’s dog, Millie, is the Queen B of the house; while Douglas loves being with his dad. They also re-rescued their orange kitty, Gilbert, whom Erika loves to dote on.

They were engaged on March 16, 2024, at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North after an afternoon desert horseback ride. The proposal was flawless and an absolute dream come true! Both families met for dinner directly following the proposal. They plan to continue the magic with a Southwestern wedding guests will remember for years to come.
